Summit Agency, Inc. is in the midst of a significant expansion to provide an array of services to children and young adults with autism along with related diagnoses. In addition to our K-12 school, Summit Academy, we are expanding our programs to include Summit Support and Behavior Services, a Health & Wellness Center, and a higher education residential campus, Summit Campus. These programs will support students on the autism spectrum as well as the community in a state-of-the-art building adjacent to Becker College in Worcester, MA.

Full Job Description

The Summit Health and Wellness Center provides comprehensive services and support to neuro-diverse individuals with autism and related diagnoses. It offers psychiatric and behavioral services, counseling services, group social skills, and general health & wellness practices. Our clinic is looking for a Medical Office Manager to enhance the clinic's functioning by managing daily administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of administration and billing, handle all the-day- to -day administrative tasks, plan, direct, and coordinate medical and health accounts, be a hard-working professional able to learn a variety of office support tasks and will work well with colleagues. Other duties include communicating with department heads, relaying policy changes, implementing incentives to enhance productivity, managing finances, and developing goals and objectives for the clinic. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Organize office and assist associates in ways that optimize procedures

  • Troubleshoot unpaid claims with insurance companies

  • Create and maintain an environment of the highest customer service

  • Manage day-to-day operations of check-in, check out, insurance verification, medical records

  • Maintain and work to constantly improve written clinic policy, and work flows for clinic tasks/responsibilities, including procedures for efficiently using the phone system and EMR

  • Reconcile daily batches and process deposits; adhere to budget requirements 

  • Oversee financial reporting including claim audits and daily charges

  • Maintain staff schedules to facilitate outstanding patient care 

  • Maintain HIPAA/OSHA/DPH requirements

  • Create and update records ensuring accuracy and validity of information

  • Resolve office-related malfunctions and respond to requests or issues

  • Coordinate with patients and insurances to ensure compliance with established policies

 

Skills

  • Proven experience as a medical office manager, or in another equivalent administrative role

  • Knowledge of computer systems (EMR or Management software)

  • Working knowledge of office equipment

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Licensed Independent & Licensed Mental Health Counselors

The Summit Agency- Health and Wellness Center is seeking passionate and exceptional Licensed Independent (LI's) and Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC's) to work 40 billable hours per week, or part time! The Summit Health and Wellness Center is part of Summit Agency's expansion plan to provide comprehensive services and support to individuals with Autism and related diagnoses, serving residential students and the community. The Summit Health & Wellness Center will offer the following clinical modalities that include psychiatric services, behavioral services, counseling services, and general health & wellness practices. Summit Health & Wellness is founded on the idea that the best care is delivered under one roof in a unified and integrated way. 

Position Responsibilities

Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Licensed Independent and Licensed Mental Health Counselors will provide high quality mental health treatments to individuals ages 3-30 with ASD and related diagnoses, utilizing evidence-based practice (ESP). Individuals complete all clinical documentation, conduct diagnostic and psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, coordinate care with families, other providers, schools, government agencies, and others, as appropriate, and provides consultation services and performs other initiatives, as needed.

Qualifications

  • LI or LMHC in good standing in Massachusetts

  • Experience or familiarity with evidence-based practices (CST and/or DST are especially beneficial)

  • CANS certification, or eligibility to complete CANS training

  • Ability to analyze outcomes from data, and excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Computer proficiency, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, and experience working with electronic  medical/health records (EMR/EHR)

  • Oversee assessments, plan development, and ongoing program data analysis to ensure maximum client progress

  • Attend staff meetings and clinical supervision

  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling

  • Assist with lifting, holding or positioning clients with disabilities (including physical, behavioral, learning, etc.)
