Licensed Independent & Licensed Mental Health Counselors

The Summit Agency- Health and Wellness Center is seeking passionate and exceptional Licensed Independent (LI's) and Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC's) to work 40 billable hours per week, or part time! The Summit Health and Wellness Center is part of Summit Agency's expansion plan to provide comprehensive services and support to individuals with Autism and related diagnoses, serving residential students and the community. The Summit Health & Wellness Center will offer the following clinical modalities that include psychiatric services, behavioral services, counseling services, and general health & wellness practices. Summit Health & Wellness is founded on the idea that the best care is delivered under one roof in a unified and integrated way. 

Position Responsibilities

Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Licensed Independent and Licensed Mental Health Counselors will provide high quality mental health treatments to individuals ages 3-30 with ASD and related diagnoses, utilizing evidence-based practice (ESP). Individuals complete all clinical documentation, conduct diagnostic and psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, coordinate care with families, other providers, schools, government agencies, and others, as appropriate, and provides consultation services and performs other initiatives, as needed.

Qualifications

  • LI or LMHC in good standing in Massachusetts

  • Experience or familiarity with evidence-based practices (CST and/or DST are especially beneficial)

  • CANS certification, or eligibility to complete CANS training

  • Ability to analyze outcomes from data, and excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Computer proficiency, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, and experience working with electronic  medical/health records (EMR/EHR)

BCBA Position Roles & Responsibilities

 

Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) report to the Director of Behavioral Services. The following duties and job description are not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of an employee:

  • Provide ongoing support for clients and their families in home and community settings

  • Conduct functional behavior assessments and skills-based assessments

  • Write and maintain behavior support plans, treatment plans, and insurance authorization reports

  • Oversee assessments, plan development, and ongoing program data analysis to ensure maximum client progress

  • Attend staff meetings and clinical supervision

  

Physical Demands May Include:

 

  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling

  • Assist with lifting, holding or positioning clients with disabilities (including physical, behavioral, learning, etc.)

  • Sitting or stooping on the floor for extended periods of time

  • Standing or bending over repeatedly throughout the day

  • Independent mobility to move about home and community settings

  

Qualifications, Requirements and Skills:

 

  • Master's degree in psychology, education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education or related field

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification

  • Massachusetts Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst (LABA) certification (or application in progress)

  • Experience developing, writing, implementing, and evaluating individual behavioral programs

  • Experience training staff in behavioral principles and procedures

  • Must possess valid driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Effective and professional communication

  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality

  • Critical thinking skills and problem solving

  • Strong computer skills

  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality

Behavior Technician Position
Behavior technicians, or Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), report to Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and the Director of Behavioral Services.   • Provide ongoing support for clients and their families in home and community settings

  • Assist with conducting functional behavior assessments and skills-based assessments

  • Implement behavior support and treatment plans

  • Collect ongoing program and behavior data to ensure maximum client progress

  • Attend staff meetings and clinical supervision

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, parents, and other caregivers

Physical Demands May Include:  

  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling

  • Assist with lifting, holding or positioning clients with disabilities (including physical, behavioral, learning, etc.)

  • Sitting or stooping on the floor for extended periods of time

  • Standing or bending over repeatedly throughout the day

  • Minimum 1-year experience providing ABA therapy preferred

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification OR willingness to complete RBT training and competency

  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality

  • Critical thinking skills and problem solving
